Grants to PhDs from
Grants for PhD students within nutritional
sciences who would benefit from working at an outstanding research center
abroad during 3 – 12 months. The grants are intended to cover the student’s
extra costs for living and travel due to the studies abroad. The student should
be registered as a PhD student at a university
Support for an outstanding international
scientist in nutritional sciences who is prepared to work in a Swedish or
Norwegian research group and stimulate the quality of the group’s research.
Application for this support should be made jointly by the Nordic research
group leader and the visiting scientist. The support is intended to cover the
visiting scientist’s salary, travel and extra living costs for a period of 1 –
6 months.
“Nutritional sciences” means research that is relevant for
human nutrition and metabolism.
The grants should cover the student’s actual costs for
living and travel and other extra costs due to the studies abroad. There is no
tax on the grants. They are not equal to salary and fees for social security are
not paid on the grants. Costs associated with the research project are not
covered by the Foundation.
The application which can be made in Swedish, Norwegian or
English should contain:

Budget (estimated costs for travelling to the place
of study, living costs, insurance costs etc at the place of study. Costs
directly associated with the studies and the project such as material,
literature etc as well as repayment of study loans or other loans or costs for
the apartment or house in the home country should not be included in the
budget.)
